Yuri Zharkov lost his sight in 1973 a mistake of doctors, but continued to compose chess problems.
When Yuri Zharkov went blind, he worked as a chess coach and trained more than 600 chess players with categories. This is the only case in Russia. Yuri Zharkov also received the nomination "Russian Writers Records", as he published more than 10 chess books.
This book presents 200 chess problems (77 two mover-miniatures, 80 two movers, 27 three mover- miniatures, 16 three-movers) of the blind author.
Very scarce item.
