Parktown Chess Problemist and Fairy Section No.3, 1935.
(Johannesburg), 1935. Softcover. (20) pages. Large size 28.5 cm. The weight 100 grams. In English. LN 6369, Betts 42-8. Di Felice 1788.
Good: light/some general wear, no major flaws, text OK with no writings.
Only 3 issues of this magazine were published in 1934-35. Editors W. W. Wallis and W. G. Thomas.
This is the last, 3rd issue. It contains problems nos. 33-48 and Fairy problems 11-15. Authors of all these problems are just the editors W. W. Wallis and W. G. Thomas.
Betts (and after him Di Felice) writes about the magazine: „Diagrams accompanying text are stamped by hand; solutions are stencilled“. This is not accurate – it looks like the diagrams are stencilled too, from the handstamped patterns. The text is stencilled partially from typed, partially from handwritten patterns.
I did find any offer of this magazine in auctions or dealer’s lists.
