Published only 200 copies.Frontespiece with Miroslav Havel. Original blue half-linen band with gold embossed in title and gold inscription in spine.
The first volume of the works of Miroslav Havel (1881-1958 own name Miroslav Kosal) came out in English under the name "Bohemian Garnets" in 1923.
This second episode contains 500 chronologically arranged Havel chess problems and studies from 1923-1942. Most of them – about 300 threemovers. The others are two -, four-, five -, more -movers. At the end there are 4 problems that were disclosed in 1.works and 21 Havel chess endgame studies.
Each problem has a diagram, date and place of first disclosure, if there was also a tournament award, and a resolution. To follow up the problem to 1.part, are numbered from 501 to 1000. Information on the number of copies issued is on the cover sheet, the prints are not numbered.
Very rare and very scarce item.
Slightly yellowed edges of the cover. Some custom pencil labels above diagrams and to solutions.
