Elberfeld – Germany, 1885. 39 loose leaves + 2 leaves title/index for 1885, all disbound from a volume. Large size ca 31 x 23 cm. The weight 190 grams. In German. Whyld page 416 (only January 1885).
The leaves with the columns are About Good: some soil, some tears at edges, some general wear. The leaves with title and index are Fair: some stains, some crease, some tears to edges.
Editor of chess column Oskar Cordel (Whyld gives Georgens by mistake).
The magazine was published weekly, 52 issues from January to December. The columns contain articles (Lehrgang des Schachspiels by Cordel in parts, on history of chess), 22 problems, 18 annotated games etc.
Chess was not published in numbers 22-23, 27-28, 40-41, 43-45, 47-49, 51.
