Berlin – Germany, January 6 – December 29, 1901. Contemporary hardcover with no lettering. (4) = title, index + 416 pages. Large size ca 30 x 22 cm. The weight 1,050 grams. In German. Whyld page 369.
Fair to good: edges and corners somewhat rubbed, the rest of old paper label on spine, binding a little worn. The endpapers, first two and last two leaves are foxed. The text is better, there is only light occasional foxing to some pages. Otherwise light/some general signs of use, text with no writings.

The paper was published weekly. The book contains all 52 issues, with 52 chess columns. The columns are usually a half page long.
The columns contain 52 chess problems (numbered 196-247), 36 games (numbered 124-159) and news.
