Ueber Land und Meer October 1879 – April 1880 (22. Jahrgang, Band 43 – chess columns only).

Stuttgart – Germany, 1879-1880. 21 loose leaves + 7 leaves with Dufresne’s article published outside the column + IV-page title/index for Band 43, all disbound from a volume. Large size ca 38 x 27 cm. The weight 280 grams. In German. Whyld page 463.

Good or better: light/some general wear, no major flaws.

Editor Jean Dufresne. Contents: problems + (extensive) „Schachbriefwechsel“, no games.

The magazine was published weekly, this 43. Band had 26 issues.

The column was published in nos. 1-6, 8-14, 16-17, 19-22, 24, 25.

In addition, there is a Dufresne’s article „Die elementen des modernen Schachspiels“ published outside the chess section. The article has 7 parts and is published in nos. 3, 7, 11, 14, 20, 23, 26. The final 4 parts of the article are published in Band 44, which we offer in another auction.
