Chemnitz – Germany, 1 Jan – 25 Dec 1927. Offprints of the chess columns bound together in one book. Contemporary binding with no lettering. 52 unnumbered leaves with text on versos only. Size ca 26 x 34 cm. The weight 560 grams. In German. Whyld page 73.
Good: edges rubbed, bottom edge bumped, otherwise light/some general wear, no major flaws.
The chess section is called „Schach des Chemnitzer Tageblattes“ and it is „Offizielles Organ des Sachsischen Schachbundes.
Editor Dr. Ed. Birgfeld, chess published weekly.
The volume consists of 52 chess columns numbered from 106 (01/01/1927) to 157 (25/12/1927).
Numbers 118 (27/03), 133 (09/07), 149 (30/10), 156 (18/12) are missing.
The columns are very extensive, always one full large page long. The columns contain problems no.498-794 and other about 90 unnumbered ones, it means about 370 in all. Then games nos. 81-101, Endgames 11-15, a lot of news, articles etc.
