The book contains 103 problems of Josef Paboucek from 1925-1937. Czech composer Josef Paboucek was born in 1890, in Kocanda. He was an army officer (colonel). Almost nothing is known about his life or chess activity after 1940.
All problems are diagrammed, with place and date of first publication and solutions. Of 103 problems, 91 are three-movers, 7 four-movers, 2 two-movers and 3 selfmates.
The book was published in limited edition of 200 copies, of which 150 copies were unnumbered, published as paperback. The other 50 copies were hardbound, numbered and signed by the author.
Our book is one of 50 numbered copies, its number is №8. It is signed by the author in pen below his portrait. „plk“ in front of the signature means „plukovnik“ (=colonel).
