DESCRIPTION

"The Brilliant Touch - 240 Chess Brilliancies Collated and Commented on" by Walter Korn. Published in hardback by Pitman & Son in 1950. First Edition. The book is in Good Plus condition. It stands straight with no shelf lean although there is a hint of bowing. The internal pages are all clean and unmarked. The boards have white discolouration to extremities. The page edge block has some light foxing spots. The dustjacket is in Good conditon. It has a small area of loss to the head of the spine plus quite strong scuffing to note. The endearing feature of this particular volume is that it used to belong to "CHESS, Sutton Coldfield" founder and editor - B.H.Wood. His initials are in pencil on the inside of the rear board and there is an email exchange between Wood's grand-daughter and me dated 2011, explaining the books history. Betts 20-19. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight is 340g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
