"CHESS, Volume 20" edited by B.H.Wood. Published in hardback by CHESS, Sutton Coldfield in 1955. First Edition. 466pp. Plus index. Magazine numbers 229-252 (Sept 1954 - Sept 1955). The volume is in Good overall condition. The boards are reasonably clean. The spine area has faded so that the lettering is no longer readable. The binding is strong and the volume stands upright with no shelf lean . The page edge block is strongly tanned from age and handling and also has a previous owner's initials added in what looks like pencil. The internal pages are all clean and inscription free apart from the occasional penned tick. Games and positions are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request.
