"The Series of First Class Games, Number 2. The Championship Match: Lasker versus Tarrasch (1908)" Edited by L.Hoffer. Published in hardback by Michell and Hollings in 1908. First Edition. 41pp. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight, the internal pages and the covers are clean and the volume is annotation free. It clearly has been well cared for by previous owners over the years. One previous owner was G.Wainwright whose pencilled signature adorns the front endpaper (see scan). Wainwright was the City of London chess champion in 1907 and 1918 and was British Amateur Champion in 1889. He also played in 5 Anglo - American Cable Matches between 1899 - 1910. He also made a bit of a habit of defeating the great Capablanca in simultaneous exhibition games. Quite scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight is 175g.
