DESCRIPTION

"Chess Springbok" by W. Heidenfeld. Published in a stiff cardboard-like binding by The South African Chess Player in 1955. First Edition. 57pp. The book is in Good Plus overall condition. The binding is tight and the book stands straight with no shelf lean. There is very mild evidence of handling to the page edge blocks but these are what you would expect from a 65 year old book. The pages have tanned slightly from age only. The volume is free from foxing. Internally I would grade the volume as being in Very Good condition and externally in Good condition. The main fault with the external cover is an area of scuffing to the front board (see scan) plus small dents to corners where the book has landed on a hard surface. The volume is inscription and annotation free. Published without a dustjacket. Games are given in English descriptive notation in that lovely old-fashioned "typewriter" font. Betts 29-45. Quite scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight is 245g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
