DESCRIPTION

"World Championship Candidates, 1953" by D. Hooper and W Winter. Published in a semi-stiff / spiral binding Ken Whyld in 1953. First Edition. 96pp. The book is in Good Plus overall condition. There is very mild evidence of handling to the page edge blocks but these are what you would expect from a 65+ year old book. The pages have tanned slightly, from age only. The volume is free from foxing. Internally I would grade the volume as being in Very Good condition and externally in Good Plus condition. The main fault with the external cover is a small area of light staining to the rear board (see scan) plus two small dents to the covers that can only really be seen "in the light". The volume is inscription and annotation free. Published without a dustjacket. Games are given in English descriptive notation in that lovely old-fashioned "typewriter" font. Betts 29-221. Quite scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight is 310g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
