DESCRIPTION

"The Transactions of the British Chess Association for the years 1866-67" edited by J. Lowenthal and G. Medley. Published in hardback by Longmans, Green, Reader and Dyer in 1868. First Edition. 164pp. The book is in Good Plus condition, considering it is over 150 years old. The binding is strong and there is no shelf lean or foxing. The boards are clean with just a little white discolouration or a speck here and there (sees scan). The page edge block is red in colour and does not appear to be stained by handling. The internal pages are all clean and inscription free apart from the occasional pencilled tick against the start of a few of the games. Around 6 pages have small edge stains (see scan) but apart from this the pages are clean and have only tanned a little, from age only. Betts 25-6. Rare. Further scanned images are available on request. Approx.unpacked weight is 325g. Second Class postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
