Knight (Norman): Chess Pieces. An Anthology in Prose and Verse. Sampson Low, 1949. 1st Edn.
Black cloth, Good. 315pp. 343 different pieces in all, plus index.
A pasted inscription on endpaper: "To W.F.Guy with kindest regards & best wishes for Christmas 1952, B.H.Wood." Also the signature of W.F.Guy on endpaper. Will F.Guy went on to co-author with Norman Knight another chess anthology called "King, Queen and Knight" in 1975.
Also includes a typed and signed letter from G.Norman Knight together with a carbon copy of an article on "Chess in Advertising" by Norman Knight.
