Good to very good: light signs of use, no flaws. Some writings on the back (it means March 1955)
GM Filip plays with the Czech Club chessmen, which were probably produced in 1946-1948 according to Bohuslav Schnirch's pattern.
Biographical data:
GM Miroslav Filip (1928-2009), the best Czechoslovak player in 1950s, one of world's best chess players around 1960, World Championship Candidate 1956 and 1962. Multiple Czechoslovak chess champion. He played in 12 olympiads.
