Reykjavik 1957
the 4th World Student Team champ.
GM Miroslav Filip (on the right) + one other person
enclosed are 4 photos from Iceland
photo sizes cca 13.0 x 8.5 cm
Very good: light signs of use. Pencil note „Reykjavik 1957“ on the back.
I believe that I am familiar with the person on the left, however I cannot remember who it is.
The other 4 photos are from the same tournament, all are described Iceland, July 1957 on the back. The Czechoslovak team lived in that big building that is on one of them.
Biographical data:
GM Miroslav Filip (1928-2009), the best Czechoslovak player in 1950s, one of world's best chess players around 1960, World Championship Candidate 1956 and 1962. Multiple Czechoslovak chess champion. He played in 12 olympiads
