Paris, Numa Preti, 1892. Private quarter hardback marbled binding, with leather spine with gold raised bands and gold embossed Title, keeping inside the complete original softcover binding. Original front softcover + VIII (including Half Title page and Title page) + 446 pages + 1 advertising page + original back softcover (including 2 advertising publisher pages). 22,4 x 14,5 cm. In French, with pages V-VI in Spanish.
Good to very good: Binding scratched and somewhat worn, with small breaks in the edges. Signature, in erasable pencil, probably from a former owner on the Title page. Pages VII-VIII loose. With normal browning throughout the book for this type of paper, although practically without stains (just some slight stains on the original soft covers). Otherwise, a very good copy inside, without writing.
L/N 2514, Kieler Schachkatalog 6545.
Rare, very scarce and very hard to find. Its sale price normally exceeds 300 EUR.
