Very rare, very scarce and incredibly hard to find

Leipzig, Wilhelm Engelmann, 1844. Private half marbled cloth binding, with the front soft cover mounted. 1-9 unnumbered pages (including Half Title page and Title page) + 10-49 pages + 3 unnumbered advertising pages. 22,3 x 14,4 cm. In German.
Good to very good: Binding in very good condition, with only a couple of scratches on the bottom of the front cover (next to the spine, and on the outer side edge), and a kind of abrasion (0.5 cm in diameter) on the part bottom of the back cover. Remains of the original soft binding beside the spine on the endpapers (Half Title page and last page). Slightly browned on the inside and very stained, as usual (the 2 copies auctioned at Klittich, in November 2011 and November 2014 also had this defect). Otherwise, a very solid copy.

The German journalist and chess writer Eduard Maria Oettinger (1808 - 1872) published this bibliography in 1844 with 269 entries.
VERY RARE, VERY SCARCE, AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND.
In the 31 editions of the Klittich-Pfankuch Auktion that I know, 2003 November - 2006 June, and 2008 November - 2021 June, only 2 copies of this book were auctioned. In November 2011 it reached a total price of 393,76 EUR including Tax.
