RARE, VERY SCARCE AND VERY HARD TO FIND

Buenos Aires, Imprenta Tixi y Schaffner, 1920. Original dark green linen band with gold embossed spine title. The interior of the book edited in excellent glossy paper. Half Title page + 599 pages. 22,5 x 15,7 cm. In Spanish.

Good: Practically the only flaw, although important, is the binding, very damaged on the spine with several breaks, and with some stain and wear on the rest. It is still relatively intact, although very fragile. However, inside it is in a very good condition, sometimes in excellent condition. Honestly, it is an excellent copy to give you a beautiful new binding. For interior photos, I have preferred not to open the book and use archival photos of a copy I sold on EBAY in 2014, in case the winner prefers to keep the current binding, although it would be advisable to at least restore the spine. In the middle of the Title page (without covering any text) there is a label from the famous Argentine Editorial GRABO. In order for you to better assess the condition of the binding, the first 10 photographs are from the copy of this auction. And so you can appreciate the spectacularity and true value and beauty of this book, another 120 photos below!!

SPECTACULAR WORK ON THE DEVELOPEMENT OF CHESS IN ARGENTINA, FROM THE LATE 19th CENTURY TO THE EARLY 20th CENTURY, WITH AN IMPRESSIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIAL.

In the 54 Klittich-Pfankuch Auction, a slightly worst copy without original binding sold for a TOTAL PRICE 378,20 (Total Hammerprice 310,00 EUR + Buyers Premium 15% 46,50 EUR + 7% VAT 21,70 EUR).
