Pharmacist G. D'Hooghe designed an electrically controlled device that could perform the knight tour on the chessboard. He demonstrated his machine at the 1960 Chess Olympiad at Leipzig and later, in 1962, published a very nice book about the Knight Tour: 'Les secrets du cavalier'.
