Postally used, dated 16. 2. 1939 (cancellation 17. 2. 1939). 14 x 9.5 cm. 10 grams.
Good to very good: light signs of use, no flaws.
front side: Alexander Aljechin stands in his coat, hat and with suitcase on an imaginary chessboard located on the main square in town Kromeriz. Above is the emblem of the city and the dates 1925 and 1938. The text means: Kromeriz chess players for the World champion.
rear side: some chess news sent by Josef Korcian (secretary of the chess club in town Kromeriz) to Czech master Josef Louma (1898-1955, Secretary of Czechoslovak Chess Union, journalist, study composer, later FIDE vicepresident in 1951-1954). The card is postally used, dated 16. II. 1939.
Alekhine played three simuls in town Kromeriz - in 1925, 1938 and 1943. This card is in memory of his simul in 1938.
