Eduard Lendl (1893-1976) – strong Brno player, chairman of the Brno county of the UJCS, founder of a chess section in the Brno Pedagogic library, grandfather of tennis player Ivan Lendl.
Josef Cucka (1932-2008) – strong Brno player.
