Johannes Kohtz (1843 - 1918) and Carl kockel grain (1843 - 1914) were German problem composer, and founder of the new German school. Their common problem creations were of a logical character, including the Roman idea. The problems were created in the years 1861-1868. With this issue, the authors want to remedy the hitherto existing shortage of German problem works.
