Two thematic chess titles: 1. "King Pawn Openings" by Marovic & Susic. Published in hardback by Batsford in 1975. First Edition. 255pp. The book is in Very Good condition. The binding is tight, the boards are clean and there is no shelf lean. The page edge block is clean. The front endpaper is missing. There is no foxing or annotations present. The dustjacket is in Good Plus condition. It has a small area of loss at the tail of the spine (see scan) plus two miniscule chips to extremities. It is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games and positions are in English descriptive notation. 2. "The Ideas Behind the Chess Openings" by Reuben Fine. Published in hardback by Bell and Sons in 1964. 240pp. The book and its dustjacket are in Very Good condition. The book binding is tight and the book is inscription free. The internal pages and the page edge blocks are clean. There is no foxing present. Games and positions are in English descriptive notation.
