Berlin, Gerschel, 1865, First edition, 68 pages with 192 diagrammen. The problems of the London Chess Tournament of 1862, in addition to their complete solutions, included: pious Prize problems, as well as a selection of the best tasks of those applicants who did not receive a prize. Linde - N. 2405. The edition appeared as "Appendix to Dufresne anthology of chess problems". The first prize Conrad Bayer was awarded the London problem tournament prize, Arnold Pongracz, and B. Horwitz. The edition also includes a small selection of problems from the Bristol Problem tournament 1861 and prize assignments from Manchester 1857, Birmingham 1858 and Cambridge 1860. Contemporary cover with gilt lettering on spine.
Very rare and very scarce item. Internally very good with no writings in text.
