Grandmaster Kiril Georgiev, born in 1965, has been either the best or one of the best Bulgarian chess players since the early 1980s. Between 1984 and 2015 he was 5 times the champion of Bulgaria, in 1983 he won the World Junior Championship. His peak rating was 2695, in 1992-1993.
Georgiev belonged to the top ten players in the world. He played at all Olympiads from 1984 to 2012, always on either the first or second chessboard. In his career, he played against twelve world champions and won against eight of them.
The book contains Georgiev's life and chess biography and 502 selected games. All the games are annotated, many of them by Georgiev himself and his contemporaries. Detailed career record, crosstables from his tournaments, many photos, indexes of players and openings.
