DESCRIPTION

"The World Chess Championship, 1937" by Alexander Alekhine. Published in hardback by Pitman and Sons in 1938. First Edition. 203pp. Betts 27-40. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. The book is inscription free and has only a minimal amount of foxing to note. The page edge block is tanned from age (the top edge is heavily dusty). The internal pages are clean. The - rare - dustjacket is also in Good Plus condition. It has had two small, neat camauflage repairs undertaken at the head and tail of the spine to present itself as being complete. There is scuffing and age discoloration to note (particularly on the spine and rear panel). The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Any questions, please just ask. Approx.unpacked weight is 490g. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
