Two volumes of "The Games of Tigran Petrosian" by E. Shekhtman. Published in hardback by Pergamon Chess in 1991. First Editions. Volume 1 covers the years 1942 - 1965 and has 480pp. Volume 2 covers the years 1966 - 1983 and has 448pp. Both volumes were published in a glossy pictorial cover without any dustjacket. These books are in Good Plus condition. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. The internal pages are - subject to the following description - all clean and inscription free. The main fault with both volumes is a strange discolouration seen on the page edge blocks (see scan). All the edge blocks suffer from this fault but the top edge block much less so than the other two. On a few (but not by any means all) of the pages the discolouration extends onto the pages but never as far as the text (see scans of examples). In addition, the blue volume has a tiny area of damage to the tip of the rear board and the red volume has faded to the spine area (see scans). Despite these faults, these two volumes are quite scarce and sought after games collections. Further scanned images are available on request. Heavy! Approx.unpacked weight is 2300g. Postage will be the cheapest available to the buyers requirements. Any questions, please just ask.
