Three consecutive bound volumes of the wartime British Chess Magazine for the years 1942-44. Volumes 62-64. First Editions. Each volume is of similar condition, namely Good Minus. The covers are publishers maroon. The spine area has sun fading. One volume has a small black speck on the front board while another has a moderate amount of speckling to the front and rear boards. Volume 1942 has its index and title page at the front while the other two volumes have them in the December issue. Internally the pages are unmarked but suffer from quite strong browning due to the exigencies of the war. The quality of the paper used appeared to deteriorate as the war progressed. 288, 288 and 296pp. Scarce. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £5.00.
