DESCRIPTION

"The British Chess Magazine, 1972". Edited by Brian Reilly and published in hardback by the BCM in 1972. First Edition. 500pp. Includes index. All twelve monthly editions of the BCM for the seminal year of 1972, the year of the "Match of the Century " between Boris Spassky and Bobby Fischer in Iceland. The volume is in Very Good Plus condition. The binding is tight, the internal pages are all very clean and annotation free apart from a previous owner's name in pen and embossed address on the front endpaper (see scan). The volume looks like largely unread. The gilt lettering to the spine is in excellent condition. There are very faint areas of very mild foxing to the title page and the first page of the Index but these are barely visible. There is a tiny white speck on the rear board (see scan). All-in-all, this volume is in wonderful condition for its age and has clearly been very well cared for over the years. Quite scarce. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £5.00 (Signed For). Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Further scanned images are available on request. Any questions, please just ask.
