A Thousand End-Games, Volumes I and II

By C E C Tattersall, Leeds 1910 and 1911. Betts 23-8 and 23-9, 211pp. and 200pp.

Uniformly rebound in dark blue cloth with paper labels. 2 leaves in volume II torn and repaired with no loss.

Introductory notes to French, German and Spanish readers.

A collection of chess positions that can be won or drawn by white with best play.

Volume I has a General Introduction followed by 480 diagrammed postions with solutions at the end.

Volume II has a short Preface, a list of corrections and additions to volume I, followed by 520 positins on diagrams with solutions.

The final chapter Strategy and Tactics of the End-Game "attemps to place the principles and details of chess play on a systematic basis".

Postage will be charged at cost; Royal Mail approx £3 in UK, £8 economy to Europe, or £13 tracked and signed.

Reductions for additional items and large parcels will be sent by courier which is much cheaper
