The Year-Book of Chess, 1913
Frank Hollings, London 1914. Betts 8-20, 290pp.
Very good condition, repairs to a couple of pages.
The 7th in the series of Year-Books founded by E A Michell in 1907. This volume covers 1912 and the early part of 1913.
The Year-Book had been taken over by Frank Hollings in 1913 and although the previous proprietor, Michell, had supplied most of the material for 1912, the overall editing was "in new hands".
The book includes a General Review of 1912 and early 1913, reports on numerous tournaments and matches in that period, a Directory of clubs and associations, games, problems and a review of Modern Chess Openings by Griffith and White, 2nd edition. There are obviously many adverts for Frank Hollings' chess books.
Postage will be charged at cost; Royal Mail approx £3 in UK, £8 economy to Europe, or £13 tracked and signed.
Reductions for additional items and large parcels will be sent by courier which is much cheaper
