The author lists in chronological order the knight tours from literature and includes year, publication and description as well as some illustrations. Circa 60 entries beginning in 1512 and ending in 1864. 42 pages, including two pages with Index. 13 cm. Philadelphia, Butler & Co. 1864.
Provenance: Bought from the Whitman Chess Library by Rimington Wilson and given to Löwenthal. Bought again at Puttick and Simpson by Rimington Wilson in 1877 as noted (#581) in the Quaritsch Catalog #428. Notes on front endpapers by Rimington Wilson.
Condition: Bound in full leather. Spine rubbed, and covers scored. Minor crack inside at gutter. Paper is yellowed.
