Leipzig, 1862, First edition, 616 pages with a lot diagrams, hard cover with gilt lettering on spine.
Van der Linde II, 99; Linde-n. 2402. In his time, Max Lange was one of the strongest German chess players named after him: the "Max Lange attack". For many years he was chairman of the German Chess Federation and author of basic works. Private stamp in book.
Very rare and very scarce item.
Binding is very tight. Internally very good with no writings.
Very good condition.
