| Three consecutive bound volumes of the wartime "British Chess Magazine" for the years 1941-43. Volumes 61-63. First Editions. Each volume is of similar condition, namely Very Good. The covers are publishers maroon. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean on any volume. The dappled red edge blocks are clean. Two of the covers have minor discolouration. The gilt lettering on the spine areas is still very bright. All indexes are present. Internally the pages are unmarked and very clean but suffer from browning due to the exigencies of the war. The quality of the paper used appeared to deteriorate as the war progressed. 324, 288 and 288pp. Scarce, particularly in this condition. Further scanned images are available on request.
