Grondijs, Harrie. Tran-substantiation.
Tran-substantiation, a Fairy Chess tale, by Harrie Grondijs, edited by Rieneke van Zutphen. The booklet features a story around the possibilities for creating (fairy) chess problems from a single "absolute" position by placing differently positioned and sized boards over it (cf. example picture page 9). It discusses how, finally, within a single framework of 4 boards 4 different problems are viewed of two such absolute positions, one of which is the so-called Vielväterproblem position, a German invention of 1932. This story will be included in the next edition of Mudhead Chessist, Oddities and Ends.
Condition: 16 pages (A5) some with coloured illustrations, and 9 diagrams, illustrated paper cover, stapled, number 10 of 15 copies, numbered and signed.
