DESCRIPTION

"Chess Pie No. 3". Official pre-tournament souvenir of the 1936 Nottingham International Chess Tournament. Published in softback by the British Chess Federation in 1936. First Edition. 98 large pages. Betts 25-122. The booklet is in Poor overall condition. The covers are scuffed and the extremities are badly frayed. The spine is discoloured. The stapled binding has completely collapsed (the staples have rotten away) and this means that the volume is now the collection of internal pages plus the covers but minus any connecting binding. Of course, if any prospective bidder has access to a large stapler the pages can probably be rejoined. The internal pages are all in Good Plus condition. They are clean and inscription free apart from the small area where the staples have bled slightly. In Poor condition but not beyond hope of salvation with some loving repairs. Scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK is £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
