DESCRIPTION

"The Groningen International Chess Tournament, 1946" by Euwe and Kmoch. Published in hardback by 'CHESS, Sutton Coldfield' as special supplement instalments between 1949-50. First Edition. 164 large pages. The book is in Fair Plus condition, for its age. The internal pages are largely clean and unmarked although tanned from age and have a strong vertical crease, showing that the pages were originally part of a posted magazine, back in the day. The volume appears to be inscription and annotation free. The main faults with the volume lie in the binding and the outer boards. The binding feels shaky as though it has not been well cared for over the years. The boards are badly faded along the spine and have speck stains on the front and rear (see scans) plus several sellotape marks on the inside of both boards. The page edge block is browned from age. Published without a dustjacket. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
