"Alekhine-Euwe World's Championship, 1937" by B.H. Wood (Ed). Published in hardback by 'CHESS, Sutton Coldfield' after originally appearing as articles in the magazine. First Edition. 79 large pages. Betts 27-43. The book is in Good condition, for its age. The semi-glossy internal pages are clean and unmarked. The pages do NOT have the commonly seen vertical crease which shows that this was a bound book as opposed to a bound collection of individual magazines. The volume appears to be inscription and annotation free (subject to the note below). Any foxing present is limited to the inside of both boards and both endpapers. The main faults with the volume lie in the binding and the outer boards. The binding feels a little shaky as though it has not been well cared for over the years. The boards are badly faded along the spine and have speck stains on the front and rear (see scans) plus pencilled notes of a previous owner on the front endpaper (will erase). The page edge block is browned from age. Scarce. Published without a dustjacket. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £2.50. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details.
