"TIJDSCHRIFT VAN DEN NEDERLANDSCHEN SCHAAKBOND"
COMPLETE 20e JAARGANG 1912
& 21e JAARGANG 1913
In Dutch (Gouda)
"TIJDSCHRIFT VAN DEN NEDERLANDSCHEN SCHAAKBOND". 20e Jaargang. 1912 & 21e Jaargang. 1913.
Gouda, KOCH & KNUTTEL, 1912-1913. Private hardback binding, similar to publisher's binding, with Title and engravings embossed only in spine. 1912: VIII Register pages (including Title page and Openings Index) + 1 Portrait after page 40 + 252 pages. 1913: VIII Register pages (including Half Title page and Title page) + 288 pages. The 4-page Supplement (of July) mentioned in Klittich Auction 72 is missing, but inserted loose in good double-sided copies. 23,9 x 16,5 cm. In Dutch.
NOTE: Regarding the Register of 1912, they are actually VI pages: Title page + V-VIII Register pages. In addition, the year 1910 does not have it (in 1911 I don't think it has either, but in 1913 it does), although it does have VIII pages. Maybe it was a typo, or there was a project to print the Half Title page, but it wasn't finally done. With the clues at my disposal, I cannot assure you 100%, but it is very likely that the 1912 Half Title page never existed, and it is very probable that the first Half Title page is that of 1913. The possible Half Title page is not present in Dr. Niemeijer's copy, as can be seen in the following link:

Good to very good: Ex-libris of its previous owner, the Italian collector Pellegrini, inside the front cover. Practically all the game numbers with a light pencil mark, easy to erase. Many problems have the solution written in pencil, easy to erase. Pages 40-41 of 1912 have a darkening caused by the portrait present between them. Between pages 130-131 of 1913 there is inserted loosely, a sheet of the Netherlands Consulate in Turin (Italy) signed by the Consul, with the Italian translation of part of the text on page 131 (slightly marked on the outer side). Some normal general browning in edges. In general a copy in very good condition.
L/N 6203; Kieler Schachkatalog 171; Di Felice 2643.
