London, Longmans, Green & Co., 1876. Original publisher dark brown cloth edition, with gold embossed Title in front cover and spine. Frontispiece + XVI (including Title page) + 683 pages + 1 publisher page. 22,3 x 15,7 cm. In English.
Good to very good: Binding slightly rubbed on the edges and spine, as well as with the corners beaten. Some tear in the paper inside the front cover. Some foxing on the Title page and on the Frontispiece. Light dirt on the edges of the pages, especially on the top. Virtually all pages uncut at the top edge. Interior without writings.
L/N 2423; Betts 32-10: "608 problems (36 two-movers ,253 three-movers ,248 four-movers ,71 longer problems), with solutions(p.610-683)".
