The Year Book of Chess 1913:
Founded by E.A. Michell. London 1914. 8°. With diagrams, VIII, 290 pages, 6 pages advertisements. Original cloth binding with lettering on front and spine. L/N. 5906. Betts 8-20. In addition to statistics, problems and small chess articles, the yearbook mainly contains reports from tournaments in 1912 and 01-05/1913. Former owner name M.P. Furmston (mentioned by Betts see page XVI) on first endpaper.
For further information reagarding the Yearbooks read the excellent article by Mr. Clapham (https://chessbookchats.blogspot.com/2017/04/the-year-books-of-chess-1907-to-1916.html)
Condition: Binding with slight soil and few discolorations. Spine tarnished. Book corners bumped. Last endpaper with some marginalia. Paper slightly browned and paper edges dusty. Otherwise inside nice and clean. Overall Assessment = Good!
Postage EUR (insurance included): It depends on whether the shipment is made by parcel or registered mail. I try to choose the most cost-effective yet reliable way.
I combine shipping – you always pay just real postage! The packing materials are free.
I send with the so-called "Paketmarke" (for further information https://www.post.at/privat_versenden_paket_paketmarke.php) which is, in general, the most cost-effective and reliable way to send parcels to Austria. One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight isn´t important although it is limited to 31,5 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.
Therefore if you win more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 book.
Important: Please wait with payment until you get my confirmation email, as the shipping costs have to be calculated.
