Paris, 1913. Contemporary halfcloth with no lettering. (4) = hafltitle, title + 520 pages + LXII pages Concours International d'Etudes - Fins de Partie + 12 plates. Size 21.5 cm. The weight 870 grams. LN 6020. In French.
Good minus: edges somewhat rubbed, old paper label (of which a piece is missing, see picture) with handwritten year 1913 on spine. Rear cover is scratched. Otherwise usual signs of use, pages are normally browned by age but clean and with no writings.
Complete volume including halftitle and title, numbers 1-12, index at the end. The covers are not bound in.
All the 12 plates, which were published in this volume, are present: Loewenthal, Morphy vs de Riviere, Marshall, Spielmann, Tarrasch, Zukertort, Saint-Amant, Les Joueurs d'Echecs, Les Joueurs d'Echecs II, Alekhine, Le Partie d'Echecs, Goetz.
The volume also includes the complete supplement Concours International d’Etudes - Fins de Partie (LXII pages), which was published through 3 volumes, from November 1912 to April 1914.
Volume 1913 is possibly the most voluminous volume of this magazine.
La Strategie was published monthly in 1867-1940.
