Sergeant, Philip W. A century of British Chess. London, Hutchinson, 1934. 8°. With 1 frontispiece and 18 illustrations on 15 plates. 384 pages and 8 sheets advertisements. Original black cloth binding with gold-stamped title print on the spine. Illustrated dustcover. Linde - N. 305; Betts 6 - 3. Interesting history of British chess with its activities, organizations and players from 1830 to 1934, the author inter alia. covers the era of Staunton, Steinitz and Zukertort.
Condition: Binding with some slight wear. Dustcover with few chippings and tears along the hinges and spine. Paper browned, paper edges dusty and with slight foxing. Inside nice and clean. Overall Assessment = Good!

One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight isn´t important although it is limited to 31,5 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.

- PM 070 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 70 cm) GER=€14,90, other EU = €17,90
- PM 120 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel are added max. 120 cm) GER=€19,90, other EU = €22,90
Therefore if you win more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 book.
