"The World Chess Championship Candidates Tournament, 1953" by B.H. Wood. Published in blue hardback by 'CHESS, Sutton Coldfield' in 1954. First Edition. 300pp. Betts 25-222. Originally published in monthly instalments in 'CHESS' magazine between Oct 1953 - Sept 1954. The volume is in Good Minus condition. The internal pages are all clean and unmarked apart from a few of the first and last pages which exhibit moderate foxing (see scans). The volume is inscription and annotation free. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. The page edge block is moderately tanned, from age and handling. The boards have surface staining (see scan). The gilt lettering along the spine has faded but can still be read. Published without a dustjacket. Further scanned images are available on request.
