"Modern Chess Endings" by Barnie Winkelman. Published in hardback by David McKay in 1933. First Edition. 243pp. Betts 21-16. No dustjacket. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. The page edge blocks are tanned from age. There is no foxing present. The boards are clean apart from strong darkening along the spine and surface damage at the top and bottom of the same area. Internally the book is clean and annotation free apart from a previous owner's name and date on the front endpaper. Chapters on 'Simple Endings', 'Masters of the End-Game', 'Selected End-Game studies' and 'A Trio of End-Game Composers', featuring Troitsky, Kubbel and Rinck.
