DESCRIPTION

"The Best Games of C.H.O'D Alexander" by Harry Golombek and William Hartston. Published in hardback by OUP in 1976. First Edition. 164 large pages. The book is in Very Good condition. Internally the (green) pages are all very clean and inscription free. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. The book is free of foxing. The page edge blocks are clean. The book's dustjacket suffers from the usual fault seen with this volume, namely severe sunning to the spine area which unfortunately extends onto the front and back covers (see scan) although this volume is not as sunned as some I have seen. Please note the sunning on the dustjacket has resulted in a two-tone colouration to the book's title lettering (see scan). The spine area is strongly faded, resulting in the lettering appearing to be white in colour. The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Games are in English descriptive notation. A quite scarce and sought after modern chess volume. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Any questions, please just ask.
