"The British Chess Magazine, 1940". Published by Isaac Pitman & Sons in 1940. Volume 60. Privately bound in black hardback. First Edition. 416pp. The volume is in Good Plus overall condition. Includes index. The volume condition is twofold: the boards, page edge blocks and the inside of the boards (the "pastedowns") are in only Good condition. The boards have a white coloured staining to the top area (see scans) and the gilt lettering on the spine has faded a bit. The page edge blocks are either dusty (top edge) or show mild signs of handling. The pastedowns have light speckling. Internally the volume is in Very Good condition. The pages are very clean and inscription/annotation free. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean. The volume is free of foxing. Games are in English descriptive notation. Scarce. Further scanned images are available on request. Uninsured postage by Royal Mail within the UK: £3.00. Airmail postage to Europe and elsewhere will be extra - please ask me for details. Any questions, please just ask.
