The magazine of the Empire Social Chess Club formed in 1930 at Whiteleys department store in London, open to everyone at a nominal subscription. Total membership on the opening day was 400, which had increased to 1600 by the second year! The magazine was incorporated into CHESS Vol.1 as a supplement in the July 1936 issue. Rare to find the complete set of 1-23. Betts 7-71.
